Well you never know who you meet taking photos on the street. Jacqueline Fahey is one of New Zealand's premiere artists. Painting since the 1950's, he is credited as being one of the first painters in New Zealand to paint from a female perspective, in examining the domestic subjects of contemporary women's existence. And in 1964 organised an exhibition with the great Rita Angus! We talked about none of that. Instead, about her earrings given to her by her daughter (who was working in Afghanistan. Jacqueline said she felt sorry for the Afghan locals beset by war, and who dont have enough to eat, thereby resorting to growing poppies.
