Portrait...Sam Hunt

Was a pleasure to head out to the Kaipara Harbour and spend the day with one of New Zealand's most loved poets, Sam Hunt. I managed to sneak in this picture in between conversation. I could'nt believe how Sam could just talk about a poem, any poem, and just start reciting it off the top of his head. From TS Eliot to Auden. It was really rather extraordinary. Anyway, you can hear him for the hour, as we shared a wine or two...Sunday Morning at 11 am RNZ National.
