GIVEAWAY: 2 x tickets to Al Shaqab Lockinge Day at Newbury Races

In a few weeks, we're off to the races for the day. I haven't been for years, since I went to Ascot on a work trip about five years ago, so I'm really excited to head to Newbury Races for the Al Shaqab Lockinge Day, which is the biggest day in Newbury Racecourse's year. It's always a great atmosphere - I love people-watching and seeing everyone's amazing outfits (while sipping a glass or two of fizzy stuff, of course). I'm not a big better. I work hard for my money and so the idea of putting it at risk doesn't appeal to it, but a tiny flutter here or there may have to be done.


I am still pondering what to wear. I have splurged on a few Emily & Fin dresses (I love Aspire Style, Lilac Rose and Kiki's Boutique), so one of the ones above will most likely make the cut. I desperately need a smart pair of wedges now, too - heels and grass don't really mix - but maybe I'll just give in to comfort and wear a cute pair of flat sandals instead. Either way, I need new shoes. This is all assuming it's open toe weather, too... oh god, you're such a pain, English Spring.
