I
wrote last week about my picks from New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2014. We can wear these styles right now, because, um, it's February. As I said, you cannot tell time by fashion "seasons".
Here are a few more looks I could adapt to my Midlife Closet. Would love to know your opinions, too, as always.
- All-black outfits. This is a personal taste; many of you love color and wear it beautifully. I do like a monochromatic black outfit for me, relieved by some colorful shoes or a scarf.
Badgley Mischka. Gorgeous in all black. I 'd relieve it with a splash of color: gloves, shoes, bag. |
More from Badgley Mischka. I love the booties with textured tights.
Victoria Beckham. Too severe for me, but that's a fabulous coat. Needs a scarf, IMHO. |
- More dark florals that make me swoon.
Creatures of the Wind. I like everything about this outfit, and the blazer is gorgeous. |
Monique Lhuillier. Dark florals and, my next favorite thing, a mid-length skirt. |
- Midi skirts. I have been wearing them for years, and for all seasons. It's nice to see them on the runway, because they will trickle down to affordable shops.
Calvin Klein. Oh, love this all the way. The pleated knit, the length and the fabulous boots. |
Ralph Lauren. Dark florals and midi, and menswear. Except for the socks, I would wear this today. |
Carolina Herrera. Not quite a midi, though it would be on me. Beautiful shape and print. And hair. And earrings. |
Happy Monday, and stay fabulous,
