I'm really into these classic color combos because honestly you can never go wrong. This is another look combined with pieces that I have already worn before. The only thing new is this necktie, which I am currently obsessing over. I think it just might be one of my top favorite trends right now this season. Super chic! I was searching everywhere for a black one like this so that I could wear it choker style or showing the entire thing up front. For this outfit I tied it in the back and the long ends are actually hanging down in the back of my coat. I do plan to wear it the regular way too, which you can see here. It's actually called an angled skinny scarf, but I like to call it a necktie. ;)
You may or may not remember this coat from last winter season when I wore it during fashion week with a leather skirt. Fashion week is coming up so soon, but for the first time in awhile I am not doing much of it, only the first two or three days. Truthfully my mind has just been on this Sweden trip and I get back super late the night before the NYFW madness begins. It has been on my mind though and this coat was a reminder for me to take it out and style it again in a new way. I still love this plaid/grid print. It's such a great statement piece and really helps to make this monochrome look pop. We are still experiencing warmer temps at this point during the winter season, so I am just continuing to take advantage of that.
I am leaving tomorrow night for a new international adventure! I still have to pack and get some last minute things done before I go, but if I am able to I will get one more post up tomorrow. Otherwise, I won't be posting on here until after Valentine's Day most likely.
