Suspenders

I'm back from fashion week and honestly so happy that it's over!  I truthfully was not that into it this season [more on that later] and the best part for me was just getting to spend so much time with so many of my loves, especially the ones that live out of state.  I decided to just do one big recap post this time. When it came to shooting my looks, I didn't want to do a full shoot for each outfit that I wore.  I think I've learned from past seasons that posting about NYFW can get dragged on for too long.  I just focused on getting a couple of good shots for each outfit to share on instagram and in the recap post.  But firstttttt, I really just wanted to do one separate post for my absolute favorite look of the week!

Suspender Pants: Tobi | Crop Top: Tobi | Shoes: Tamar Collection [similar style]
Bag: Prima Donna [also love]

I think that this was the first season where I really did not stress my outfits, at all.  I bought a few new things, borrowed a few things and threw it all into my suitcase and just hoped for the best.  I know that my best outfits come from that spur of the moment feeling anyway and usually when I plan things out, they never turn out the way I initially wanted them to.  Going with the flow was just the best thing for me to do.  I had the opportunity to team up with Tobi for one of my looks and as soon as I came across these suspender pants I just knew that I needed to wear them.  I honestly never pictured myself in suspenders, but I just fell in love with them.  I am all about menswear inspired pieces and adding in that feminine touch.

I have been wanting a cropped button down for the last two years and could never find one, so when I found this I just instantly thought these two pieces would pair well together.  I actually really liked that the sides are cut out because it adds in a touch of sexiness, while still remaining classy. [super important to me] There was a delay with getting the package, but it literally came in the day before I left for the city and luckily both things fit!  Once I was in New York, I decided to pop out the look with leopard pumps and a red bag.  I don't know what it is about this outfit, but I just really love how it turned out.  Ever since I cut my hair shorter, I've felt a bit sassier and more fierce. [haha!]  I ended up wearing this to the Betsey Johnson show Friday and it was a good pick!

I'll be sharing my full NYFW recap post tomorrow. :)
Thanks to my love Chevy for snapping these pics!
