MONDAY STYLE FILE \\ STATEMENT NECKLACES

Today I am super excited as I have my first "Styling by V" client. A lovely 27 year old with a little 4 year old boy who has recently been diagnosed with MS. I am super excited to meet my client face to face, to help her feel better about herself and to feel proud of who she is and look great at the same time.

One item that I just love to wear often are my new statement necklaces from Blush & Co. Owned and curated by the lovely Jacqui from Adelaide. I actually have three Blush & Co pieces and I alternate them often to add a little sparkle to my look.

I was never a huge fan of those super chunky statement necklaces until I purchased a lovely pearl and gold chain one from Forever New a few years back. Personally I think statement jewels around your neck add a touch of sophistication and finesse to your look whether casually or for a special occasion.

A statement piece can be a challenge for those who have different perceptions and feel they cannot wear them, but I believe anything is worth trying. You never know until you place one around your neck. You may be pleasantly surprised. Go on try them!!

With statement necklaces you need to co-ordinate accordingly. As you can see above you can pair the statement necklace with almost anything as long as the neck area is a pale or plain palette for the piece to shine.

If you wear busy prints the statement piece will tend to blend and not stand for the statement it was meant to make. I just love the contrast of the statement piece with stripes.

You want the statement piece to stand out and make a S T A T E M E N T not blend in so it cannot be seen.

I have had so many compliments on my Blush & Co pieces. I cannot wait for what Jacquie is making for Spring.
