Off The Shoulder

Happy Monday loves!
I hope that you all had a great weekend.  I still can't believe that it's already August.  This summer is really flying by.  I wore this outfit on Saturday for a long overdue night out with some of my friends in the city.  I was not initially planning to post this on the blog, which is why I don't have many photos in this outfit.  I posted it to instagram though and I got some questions about the outfit details, so I decided to put it up on here anyway.  This was one of those looks that came together last minute and I really loved the outcome.  I got this shirt earlier in the day on Saturday.  I was specifically looking for something to wear later that night and knew that I wanted to style this somehow.  Off the shoulder tops have been such a big trend lately and to be honest I didn't really know how I felt about them at first.  They can be a little annoying to wear if you don't have on the right bra and sometimes the shoulder part can tend to rise up on you.  I decided to give it a try though as it's been such a long time since I have worn tops like this.  With this one in particular, I had to roll up the bottom part a little bit so that it looked good with these shorts.  Otherwise, it hit a weird length and was not very flattering.  I make little adjustments like that to my pieces here and there when need be and it definitely helps.

Top: H&M [similar style short sleeves] | Shorts: Dynamite [also love] | Shoes: Schutz [similar]
Necklace: Prima Donna [here too]

I recently did a green eyeshadow makeup look and ever since then I have sort of been on this green kick lately.  I really love this olive shade, it's so pretty.  I decided to pair it with these white shorts and then pop it out with gold shoes and accessories.  I actually ended up switching my bag to my leopard print clutch because I needed something with more room.  I loved the pop of leopard with this look and wish that I would have thought of that in the very beginning.  Oh well!  I showed some skin with this look, but I did my best to keep a good balance. I still think it's very classy and chic. :)

If you're into this off the shoulder trend, I've linked some of my favorite tops below!

Sorry for the lack of outfit photos, but hope you still liked this post.  How would you rock this trend?
Have a lovely day and a great start to this new week! <3
