Overtime we tend to learn new tips and tricks from the beauty market. As I was in my late teens, early twenties I attended quite a few make-up parties you the Mary Kay and Almay where I learnt tips that I still use today.
Anyhow some of the tips I learnt have stayed with me, along with new ones I have gathered over time. I thought I would share them with you and I would love to hear what you can add to this list. Beware sorbolene features often.
1. Loads of people reach for dry shampoo but did you know that baking soda or baby powder can suffice and give the same results. Loads of people wash their hair every 2nd to third day or even less and we can have oily roots so that is where you can comb the baking soda or baby powder at the roots and then blow dry for a few seconds with cool air to lift.
2. For dry calluses or heels, add paw paw ointment, or vaseline to the areas for a quick fix. For a treatment slather the dry hard places and wear socks overnight. To wake with smoother heels and dry patches.
3. For a quick fix on a make up mistake place a cotton tip with a smear of sorbolene to remove what you do not wish to be there. Make up remover will also work.
4. If your foundation is a little darker than you would like mix with a little sorbolene and then apply smoothly over your face.
5. If eyebrows are hard to tame smooth them over with a little sorbolene to keep their shape.
6. For the final step of your hair style spray a little fragrance from a distance for gorgeous smelling hair all day.
7. If your skin is super dry in winter and your favourite lotion is not doing the job add a little baby oil.
8. For crisp smooth lines with your eye liner, lip liner or brow liner place them in the freezer for 15 minutes before you apply.
9. This is one my daughter uses often. Apply toothpaste on a pimple. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to absorb the oil.
10. Another tip my daughter finds is working for her pimples is applying tea tree oil, helping to dry them out and faster healing.
12. Use a red lipstick to add a little glow to your cheeks instead of a blush.
13. Using QV wash as a soap free cleanser for your face.
* Boost your hair shine with vinegar by adding one part vinegar and 4 parts carbonated water. Leave on 15 minutes and then shampoo and condition as normal.
