Cool Places...The George

I stayed at a very cool hotel in Christchurch recently. I didn’t know much about the place, but I halted in the lobby, as I went past all these Ralph Hotere lithographs. All in a row!  I did quite a turn. Couldn’t believe the art they had on display there. I asked what the deal was, and turns out The George is somewhat of an ‘art hotel’ – Ralph Hotere, Bill Hammond, Michael Tuffery, Barry Cleavin, and many other artists represented. The quality continued onto the rooms, the great service, and a gorgeous flat white on arrival. I was vey impressed. If you want to treat yourself in Christchurch, try The George.
