With our NYC trip coming up in a couple of weeks, I'm getting more desperate for eye-pleasing walking sandals that aren't these:
I love, love my Tevas for running around, but they're too sporty for Manhattan. Some even say ugly. |
As my urgency grows so does my budget - isn't that the way? My requirements aren't too exacting - just a low heel, good support, not too many pressure points, no thongs, and don't be ugly (don't be glaringly ugly).
Here are some affordable comfort sandals on my list:
- Spring Step Chops. These are Birkie look-alikes, and just $50. I like the metallic color, but are they just shiny Birkies?
- Clarks Lydie Hala. These are dressier and have a great silhouette. I like all the color choices but this is my favorite. Comfortable enough?
- Naturalizer Julissa. A good old-fashioned comfort brand. Classic black is always right for NYC and doesn't show the dirt!
And some shoes that qualify as a splurge, although the brands have a great comfort reputation:
- Mephisto Paris. These just look uber-comfortable, and in a terrific color.
Think Jaeh Damen. I never heard of this brand, but these got top reviews. Almost-a-shoe, rather than a sandal, yes?
Arche Malyak. Everybody raves about Arche, and the price reflects the reputation. I think these can handle Manhattan:
Do you have any feedback on any of these styles, or brands? My dogs thank you.
Stay fabulous,
