Ever since my mom gave me my first Claude Monet book, I have been obsessed with going to museums. I have always loved getting lost in the galleries, people watching and meditating upon an inspired work. When MoMA asked me to help launch their brand new senior programming and outreach initiative, Prime Time, I was absolutely thrilled. Starting this weekend, The Museum of Modern Art will begin to offer an array of gallery conversations, film screenings, art workshops, and events designed to provide opportunities for older adults to engage with modern and contemporary art.All programs are offered free of charge for New York City residents 65 years old and up!
The Advanced Style ladies will be helping to launch the Prime Time initiative this Saturday, May 9, with a series of interactive drop in activities, including a jewelry making workshop led by Debra Rapoport and a live figure drawing session featuring Joyce Carpati, Lana Turner, Debra and Carol Markel. The museum is also offering 50% off ticket prices and $25 off all new annual memberships for the month of May!
The ladies are planning their outfits as we speak, so grab all your friend over 65 and up and head to MoMA on Saturday for an inspiring day of creative activities.
