When I wrote my 30 Before 30 list last year, one of my goals was to own a pair of designer sunglasses. I did not fulfil this goal - moving house and all sorts of other things stopped me actually splashing out, but I never stopped longing for a pair that didn't fall apart after two wears. I love my H&M sunnies, but for £5.99, you're not expecting them to LAST, are you?
So I was super excited when Sunglasses Shop got in touch, asking if I wanted to review a pair of their specs. I have always been an aviators girl - as someone who doesn't suit regular glasses at ALL, it's taken a long time to find a pair of sunglasses that work with my weird old face, but aviators somehow work, and I've not stopped wearing them since. I chose these beautiful Burberry Aviators and they're awesome.
I was actually really surprised at the difference between designer sunglasses and my usual high street ones. Not just the way they're made but the lenses - everything is clearer and I genuinely feel like my eyes are more protected from the sun. Sidenote - did you know that wearing sunglasses can help prevent wrinkles? Yeah. Remember that next time you're squinting against the sun. They're actually good for you.
Sadly the weekend I chose to photograph these was miserable, so you'll have to settle for a rubbish insidey Sunday afternoon shot. But the next sunny day we have, I'll be taking them fully out to play. Thanks for my Burberry Sunglasses, Sunglasses Shop! I love them! I've now got my eyes on Sarah's new Chanel sunnies... wonder if she'd notice if I 'borrowed' them?
