Emily Ratajkowski is an American model and actress. She is known for her role of Tasha in the Nickelodeon series iCarly from 2009-2010, and appearing in the Blurred Lines video.

Early Life

Ratajkowski was born in London, England and raised in Encinitas, California.[citation needed] Her parents are both artists—her father a painter of Polish descent and her mother an English professor and writer. Her parents' artist sensibilities led Emily to live and travel to many parts of Europe at a young age. She spent much of her childhood in Bantry, Ireland and Mallorca, Spain.[citation needed].

Ratajkowski was signed at age 14 by Ford Models, but continued to attend high school in San Diego as she modeled and acted in Los Angeles. She attended UCLA for one year, majoring in Fine Art, until she decided to pursue her career in modeling full-time.

She worked for clients such as Forever 21, Nordstrom, and Frederick's of Hollywood, but became recognized as a fashion model after shooting several campaigns and editorials with photographer Tony Duran.[citation needed] Ratajkowski began shooting more fashion editorials and appeared on the cover of Treats! Magazine. She has worked with photographers such as Tony Kelly, with whom she shot the cover of GQ Turkey. She was featured in Carl's Jr. Memphis BBQ commercial in August, 2012, and in April 2013 she appeared in both versions of Robin Thicke, T.I., and Pharrell's music video for their song Blurred Lines, where in the unrated version of the video she featured t*p**ss

Ratajkowski divides her time between Los Angeles and New York City.
