Woody Allens tickets for date night....

If you’re a Woody Allen fan, live in NZ and want to see his latest film, pop your email address in comments section below, and I’ll choose one for a double pass to send out. Woody Allen can be pretty hit or miss frankly, but some of his best I have totally loved. I think I’ve seen Husbands and Wives, Annie Hall and Manhattanabout 5 times each.

His latest looks very Bullets over Broadway. It's called Café Society, and is a romantic comedy set in 1930s New York and Los Angeles. It follows Bronx-born Bobby (Jesse Eisenberg) as he travels to Hollywood and lands a job working for his uncle Phil (Steve Carell), a high-powered agent in the movie business. There he falls hopelessly in love with his uncle’s secretary, Vonnie (Kristen Stewart). Vonnie has a boyfriend, so Bobby settles for friendship, until her breakup offers him the chance to kindle a romance between them.

“Café Society recalls the whimsical worlds of Midnight in Paris and Magic in the Moonlight as it delves back in time to the heyday of glamourous movie stars and a swinging New York jazz scene.” Kristen Stewart is in it, as is Steve Carell, Blake Lively, Parker Posey and Jeannie Berlin.

See the trailer.
