Denim Jacket

Black on black with a little bit of leopard and denim just might be one of my new favorite combos! This is my last style post for the week.  I am going to try and get a Life Chats up tomorrow.  I have a last minute trip to Miami this weekend and leave Friday morning.  Can't wait to share more on that!

My favorite part about fashion is being able to play around with my style and get creative with different pieces.  This denim jacket is actually meant to be a dress.  Initially that is how I wore it when I tried it on, but it was definitely too baggy and big for me.  I could have easily put it back on the rack, but I got this idea to just wear it open as a jacket and I actually love that it's long and loose fitted on me.  I found this when shopping the clear the rack sale at Nordstrom Rack a couple of weeks back and the price was too good to pass it up.  The next time you try something on and it doesn't fit the way it's meant to, see if there might be another way to make it work.  
In terms of the styling for this look, I really liked the idea of pairing the denim and leopard together.  These are both seen as neutrals, at least in my book.  I wanted to make this a bit more chic so I went with black on black and at the last minute decided to add on the hat.  I love the extra vibe that it gave!  The red bag and lip was just a way to make this pop out a little but more.  :)
