Out Of My Comfort Zone

I have been checking out the new high-waisted, wide-leg trousers that are, ahem, trending. I normally don't follow trends, and wear familiar shapes/colors. But now I am retired, and can forgo office-appropriate clothes in favor of fun pieces.

These pants (similar) look like a good time, with a flowy tank or even a mixed print striped tee. I can stick to familiar wedge sandals (sim) and I threw in a $2,000 purse (sim, for much less) for giggles. [What's the most you've ever paid for a purse? I think I topped out at $125 for my Coach bag, and it's had over a thousand carries].

I love a dangly earring (similar) - unfortunately my ears can only handle real gold so I rotate among the three pair I already own. Is is too early to start hinting for my next birthday, only 11 months away?
