MYER CHRISTMAS GIFTORIUM

On Saturday morning my eldest daughter and I travelled into the city by train where we caught up with the goings on over the last week, which brought us to childhood memories. One that resonated with me the most was the fact that I each time I bought my daughter's into the city when they were younger, I started a ritual of buying them nutella pancakes topped with strawberries and icecream and taking them up to the MYER book and toy department where they played and read for a while finding a favourite book for me to buy. I also loved bringing them in for their Santa photo. Saturday I was invited by MYER and Kids Business to attend the Myer Giftorium launch with Kris Smith.

Myer have made an interactive and fun place to be with the giftorium for children of all ages. I just loved the whole area filled with toys, story telling, train rides and of course the must have santa photo and for the children to share what's on their list.

The MYER giftorium is a totally unique concept in Australian retail which was designed to bring back the fun and theatrics of Christmas - an interactive and fun place to shop both in store and online.

Myer has been inspired by the international department stores which offer an amazingly fun, and interactive place to be with a huge array of events and themes to keep everyone happy.

This year the themes include For Her, For Him, Tech Guru, Kids Cubby, Paws Corner, Stocking Fillers and Food Fanatic. There are pop up shops with Nutella, Star Wars, Marvin's Magic, Arts and Crafts, Games and Puzzles. Also in selected stores there are pop up stores from Benefit, Napoleon, R&A Leather, Dilmah Tea and Mr Men/Little Miss/Peanuts cartoon prints.

Personalisation of gifts is huge, this year, with Nutella and Peanuts designing labels and prints unique to everyone. They are also offering customisation services on leather goods, business shirts, towels, Santa sacks and stockings.

There is so much you can do online with the giftorium microsite where MYER have dedicated a website to help you find the perfect gift. You can book your own giftorian to help you collate your gift selections and book your santa photo as well. There is also 'all wrapped up' christmas gift registery where you choose, scan, pay and leave your gifts ready to be wrapped and delivered to your door in time for Christmas.

  

There is so much fun to be had while shopping for a magical christmas with gifts for everyone.
